Somaya Abdelrahman (born in 1996, in Cairo, Egypt) is an Egyptian documentary photographer and journalist based in Germany. She began her career as a self-taught photographer in Egypt, documenting issues of social justice and human rights. After relocating to Germany, she studied Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at Hochschule Hannover and completed the VII Academy Program in Narrative Documentary Photography.

In 2019, Abdelrahman received the Arab Documentary Photography Program (ADPP) grant, supported by Magnum Foundation, AFAC, and the Prince Claus Fund, for her long-term project A Permanent Wound. In 2021, she was awarded the Too Young To Wed Emerging Photographers Fellowship for the same project. In 2025, she received the Inge Morath Award for her ongoing documentary project Tired Souls Seeking Home. Her work has been published by Al Jazeera, Anadolu Agency, Getty Images, The New Arab, Middle East Eye, BR24, and other international media outlets.
